Refinishing Worn Wooden Patio Chairs
Practice your wooden patio chairs need to be refinished? I snagged this pair of worn chairs from an online garage sale final year, and they've been sitting in my garage waiting for a new life always since.
I love finding inexpensive article of furniture at thrift stores and garage sales! In that location are so many good deals out there, and many of them but need a little paint and TLC to look new again.

Hither's what the chairs looked like beforehand (sad, I had them mostly disassembled before I remembered to take a picture!):
The wooden slats were very worn and some broken. I unscrewed them from the metal chair frames and adamant I could salvage plenty wood for i chair. I asked the lumber store to cut enough replacement wood for the second chair and drilled holes in each piece for the screws.
I painted a coat of Mold Killing Primer on the old wooden slats in an endeavor to seal and protect them.
And so I covered all of the woods with two coats of Rustoleum's Deck & Concrete Restore paint in the Granite colour, which I had already purchased to paint our patio. I figured if that paint is durable plenty for a concrete patio, it should do the trick on some patio furniture.
I covered the metal chair frames with two coats of Rustoleum spray paint designed to terminate rust.
Once all of the paint dried, I reattached the wooden slats using new outdoor nuts and bolts. If you practice supplant your bolts, I highly recommend bringing a rusty old one with you to the hardware shop so you can easily find replacements in the correct size.
Later on a few coats of paint, some new lumber, and new bolts, I now I take a pair of beautiful patio chairs!
I snagged a couple aqua patio cushions on clearance at Target the other day and added a couple pillows to gear up these chairs for afternoons of relaxing on the patio.
If you find whatsoever old wooden patio chairs while yous're out at garage sales this summer, be sure to snatch them upwards! Remember that a fresh coat of paint tin can go a long manner toward improving old furniture.
